Community Events

Common Good City Farm hosts monthly events on the farm. All events are free and open to the public.

All 2017 events are below. Check back next year for our 2018 community events!

April 15, 10am-1pm - Season Opener: Kick off the start of the growing season with Common Good. Join us for kids’ activities, farm tours, and a cookout. And don’t forget to join in on the Easter Egg Hunt, giant bubbles, and scavenger hunt at The Park at LeDroit starting at 10am.
May 31, 6pm-8pm – Potluck and Recipe Exchange: Bring your favorite dish and exchange recipes with your neighbors and fellow community members at our Spring Potluck. Can’t bring a dish? Come anyway!
June 25, 3-6pm – Volunteer Workday: Enjoy some fresh air and get out in nature with your neighbors. Volunteer tasks may include planting seeds, weeding, painting, or building. Refreshments will be served.
July 21, 12pm-1pm - Community Lunch: Our Summer Youth Program participants will serve a delicious lunch made with farm-fresh produce. Come to the farm to eat, meet our SYP participants, and learn more about our Summer Youth Program.
August 24, 6pm-8pm - Tomato Party: Come celebrate our bountiful summer tomato harvest! Bring your favorite tomato dish for our community-judged competition or just enjoy the tomato recipes, raffles, tasting, and live music.
September 30, 10am-1pm - Volunteer Workday: If you missed the first workday or want another opportunity to help us out on the farm, join us for our Saturday afternoon workday. A family-style lunch will be provided.
October 28, 10am-1pm – Season Closing Party: Celebrate the end of a successful season with a fun, family-friendly day on the farm. Food will be served and there will be activities for all ages, including farm tours, pumpkin painting, and produce sales.
