Looking for a fun Halloween activity? Join us to make bean to bar inspired spooky hot cocoa pops with Christina Kim of the Secret Cacao Garden. This is a kid friendly event, but also great if you're just a kid at heart!
Work with ethically and sustainably sourced cacao and majambo beans from Ecuador and Peru, and create healthy and delicious treats for all ages. Explore these ‘foods of the Gods’ in all 6 senses from bean to paste, and decorate the cocoa pops with fun local herbs and produce found in the Washington DC area.
The class will discuss the history of cacao, beneficial properties of cacao, and then practice making the chocolates. Each participant will get to make and take home their own hot cocoa pop.
