LeDroit Park Community Garden

The LeDroit Park Community Garden in Washington, DC is a community garden based in Bloomingdale/LeDroit Park, serving the neighborhoods of Bloomingdale, LeDroit Park and Truxton Circle in Washington, DC.

The community garden, established in 2011, has 50+ raised beds where we grow organic vegetables. We're located adjacent to Common Good City Farm, at 3rd & Elm Streets NW.

As a community garden, we are a collective: each garden plot is assigned to an individual or family, who is responsible for planting and maintaining their plot throughout the year. Annual dues are required (and scholarships are also available!) which enable us to buy tools and supplies.

The garden has an elected, volunteer executive committee to coordinate the gardeners, supplies, and neighborhood relations.

The LeDroit Park Community Garden is a fiscally sponsored organization under the sponsorship of Common Good City Farm. Donations made using the link above are tax-deductible and re-granted to the community garden.

Donations to the LeDroit Park Community Garden will benefit the Scholarship Fund, which allows the community garden to waive fees for those who express need in order to participate. Donations can also assist us in making infrastructure repairs such as required repairs and improvements to garden beds, sheds and/or other necessary elements of the garden.
